The MagSafe duo should be priced at $49 max.

It just makes no sense for a charger to be $30 more than a HomePod mini.

Then I remembered this ('https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MX572ZM/A/apple-mac-pro-wheels-kit').

I truly couldn't dislike the duo charger more. I bought for my GF for xmas and it would not work with any existing charger we had. Not a single one - not any charger that came from Apple, not a single 3rd party we had, not built into the outlet itself (brand new and expensive ones I put on both sides of the bed). So I ordered the Apple specific charger. It literally will not work with any charger other than Apple's and the damn duo doesn't even come with it. The whole point was a single and small device to use while on trips. But then you have to remember to bring the damn wall-wart that works with it. And you know that never happens.

As for a gift...it's caused my GF way more frustration and NOT charged devices than it ever once helped. It's genuinely, real-world, useless (for us). I'm pretty sure she likes me less for even introducing it to her life. Dramatic, yes, but oi the frustration it brought to my life for a few months of really wanting it to be useful.
