AT&T Launches Father's Day 'Buy One, Get One' iPhone X Deal

AT&T has launched a new Father's Day deal for the next few days, offering new and existing customers who purchase an iPhone X as an upgrade or a new line a second iPhone X at no additional cost as long as it's for a new line.

Customers will need to finance both iPhone X devices via AT&T Next 30 or AT&T Next Every Year, but within three billing cycles they will begin receiving bill credits totaling up to $999.99 spread out over 30 months. Tax on the full cost of both phones is due at the time of purchase, and the deal runs through June 19.

AT&T's product pages aren't yet reflecting the full $999.99 promo for the iPhone X, but the deal is live and will be applied at the end of the checkout process.

AT&T has been offering a similar BOGO deal on the iPhone 8 as well as a $0 iPhone SE offer, and those deals continue to be valid for a limited time.

On the internet and TV service side, AT&T is also continuing to offer Visa Reward Cards with the purchase of new services: $50 for internet, $200 for DirecTV, or $250 for a bundle of both. Full offer details are on AT&T's site.

And as always, head over to our Deals Roundup for all of the latest sales and bargains.

If this deal allowed me to pay $1000 cash and get a free X immediately I would typing this from the nearest AT&T store right now. Just isn’t worth it. I can find brand new sealed unlocked Xs for $800 on my local Craigslist. I’m actually in the market for one to give to my dad.

Wait... you want AT&T to GIVE you a free iPhone X without guaranteeing they get your business for at least 24 months? Why would a business ever do this? They take a hit on the hardware, but they get your wireless business so it’s a win-win if you plan on staying with AT&T.

I really hope you’re not in business for yourself. That place would hemorrhage money.

IphoneX - just another mobile phone like all the others.

Thank you for your in-depth analysis. I can also confirm that the iPhone X has a screen, wireless radios, various processing chips, and a few buttons.

Ladies and gentlemen, please join us next time for another classic episode of "Why did this need to be said?"

They have these deals every other week. Always needs a new line in the fine print.

This is the first one I remember where you can get two iPhone X devices. I've seen two iPhone 8 frequently and even one X at full price and one 8 for no extra cost, but not two X.

This is why my son only shares his cell phone number with his family - it's easy to cancel a non-contract line and start a new one with a new number for a child.

This is the internet. folks can spout off whatever the heck they want without actually knowing what they're talking about.

So true brother. You’d think people would be a little more learned before spewing **** out of their figurative mouth about things they don’t know.

But, like you said, it’s the internet. Actually, people pretty much do the same in person now a days.

Probably intentionally a hassle along those lines, and I wouldn't expect anything less from a "free" offer.

Pretty much. They want to guarantee 30 months of additional revenue from the new line to offset the cost of the device. It really wouldn't do them a lot of good to offer it to existing customers other than to guarantee their loyalty for a longer period of time, but loyalty doesn't equal extra money.
