For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with PureGear to offer MacRumors readers a chance to win a HomeKit-enabled PureSwitch Wireless Smart Plug.

PureSwitch fits in any standard U.S. outlet, and it's designed to let you manage your energy use by allowing you to wirelessly control whatever's plugged into the Smart Plug. It can turn any appliance or lamp into a smart device that can be controlled alongside the rest of your HomeKit products.

At $39.99, PureSwitch is priced competitively with other HomeKit-compatible smart plugs on the market, and at one side, there's a built-in 2.1A USB-charging port you can use to charge your iPhone, iPad, or any other USB device.

I stopped reading these Giveaway articles because they were always US-only, but decided to peek into this one and now see that it's open to Canadians, too. What a Christmas present this is! Thanks MacRumors for listening to the feedback of your long-time readers.
It's fun to enter but don't expect to ever win anything with all the entries.

I’ve already won the one thing I’ll ever win in my life. It was the Trader Joe’s weekly raffle. Sure I’d like it to have been something bigger but I was just glad after forty years on the planet to finally win something. It is fun now because I hear people in line questioning whether anyone ever wins and I speak up. It makes you feel special.

When are we going to see it where the outlet itself is actually homekit controllable. These dorky bulky accessory dongles just don't cut it.
