Agreed. It's pathetic with the constant negativity. And that forum member you quoted is always hate spreading on this site. But there is a lot of useful information on this site once you weed through the pessimism.
Poor battery life, soldered everything, poor GPU, no USB-A ports, gimmicky touchbar, poor keyboard.

I'd take it, but I wouldn't use it, I'd put it up for sale.
