I am impressed with the series 4. For the wife the series 3 for Xmas, and she is very happy

I have been waiting for a while to get an Apple Watch and to be honest I was not going to get one until the right time. My wife gave me series 4 and I’m enjoying it very much. I also purchased series 3 for her to see if she was going to like it. She loves her Apple Watch.

Thanks for the info. I'm finally an apple watch 4 owner! So i'm looking for a screen protector for it and the many ones that i've seen they all have bad reviews.

Quite a few forum members have used Armorsuit for the Series 4, adequate protection and it includes two screen protectors.

Is there a way to not burn your eyeballs with the PWM flicker of the OLEDs?

How long do you stare at your watch?

Only Series 4 has OLED and has the PWM flicker problem.

Apple Watches have all had OLED screens from the very beginning.

For most people a screen protector isn’t needed. I had a series 0 since and series 4 both since launch. The sport edition. I don’t baby them and have had no problem. If you’re wearing in situation with a lot of dust etc maybe. But I would think twice

I had the original, (I think a series zero?) and it just broke a few months ago. I'd never used anything to protect it. No screen protector, no case. Tough little watch all things considered.

Here’s a tip: get a screen protector.

Do not do this. A couple of tiny scratches are much better than a piece of plastic covering your screen.

I once thought the same as you when receiving my Apple Watch Series 3 Nike Edition. Only took a month or so for those “tiny scratches” to turn into full fledge cracks and screen chipping/breaking. And this was all through normal wear and tear—not sports or anything extra curricular. If you are vain and can’t put a small protector on your screen, at least purchase an Apple Care warranty. (Or purchase the high end Apple Watch with sapphire screen.)

I guess it depends on the activities you do are and if you needed a screen protector for a normal watch.

My normal daily wear resulted in a severely damaged screen on my Apple Watch Series 3 Nike Edition. Not happy with the screen quality. Lesson learned.
