Apple Now Has Over 1 Billion Active iPhones Worldwide, 1.65 Billion Total Devices

Alongside today's earnings release that saw Apple share record numbers thanks to strong iPhone, iPad, Mac, and services sales, Apple CEO Tim Cook told Reuters that Apple now has an active installed base of 1.65 billion devices, up from 1.5 billion devices in the year-ago quarter.

Apple has also hit an ‌iPhone‌ milestone, reaching more than 1 billion active iPhones, up from 900 million in 2019.

Apple's total active installed base includes ‌‌iPhone‌‌, iPod touch, ‌iPad‌, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch models in use around the world.

Macs are going to fly off the shelves like mad after the 16” update and store openings.
I think the 14" will be the favorite 'sweet' spot for a lot of people. I see the 16" as more niche for the video / music professional.

WOW - 1.65 BILLION devices!

That is astonishing. What an accomplishment. I can easily recall the days of the Mac Plus, when Apple was hardly a blip on the radar screen of Microsoft, IBM (hey, remember IBM??).

It’s also worth noting that many users still only have an iPhone. There is a lot of potential for Apple to continue selling them additional devices, accessories and services in order to round out the whole Apple experience.

In short, for all its size, there is still plenty of room for Apple to grow, especially in the non-iPhone revenue portion.

The end of one decade of expansion, the start of the next decade of growth.

Just remember, all of this success didn't start with the iPhone, it started with a little OS called OSX. It truly reshaped the PC market.
