I have *NEVER* bought any accessory, cable, dongle from Apple. And before everything became soldered on, I typically bought minimum spec, and upgraded the hard drive, ram etc myself too.

Down from outright "rip-off" to "reasonable pricing".

As HiVolt already mentioned, what Apple sells these for is obnoxious. I wanted a protective case for my Apple Pencil when I didn't need it. Apple wanted €40 for the case! I paid just €15 for a genuine one on eBay. Even 20eur would have been ok, but how they get away with this is unbelievable.
