Everything New in iOS 14 Beta 4: Apple TV Widget, Search Improvements, Exposure Notification API and More

Apple today released the fourth developer betas of iOS and iPadOS 14 for testing purposes, tweaking and refining some of the features and design changes included in the update.

Changes get smaller and less notable as the beta testing period goes on, but there are still some noteworthy new features in the fourth beta, which we've highlighted below.

- Apple TV widget - There's a new Apple TV widget available in the fourth beta.

- Search improvements - When searching for in-app content or questions, top hits are now displayed underneath web suggestions, as noted by Federico Vittici. The app displays apps, Siri Knowledge, ‌Siri‌ suggestions, News, and more up top, with an option to get more results. Search in App remains available at the bottom of the interface.

- 3D Touch - 3D Touch, which was unavailable in the last beta, is again working on compatible devices.

- Exposure Notification API - The Exposure Notification API has been added to this beta, so iOS 14 users can download apps that use ‌Exposure Notification‌.

The reason is you are a beta tester and should be updating to the latest version to provide feedback to Apple. That's the whole point.

thank you so much for deciding this on my behalf, but i want the new incoming call feature.
I didn’t decide anything on your behalf. I stated an opinion. You can still have the call feature while updating the betas. Stating you won’t update doesn’t make sense. And the whole point of beta testing is to help report bugs to Apple, when you come across them on your device.

You should expect some rightful admonition, given your attitude with beta.

What I really hate about iOS14 is that rolling wheels for select boxes are gone! For example adding new alert or calendar event is much more unintuitive.

see no reason. still on beta 1...
You are wasting your time with betas. You should have stayed on iOS 13 if you weren’t going to update.

I hope this beta fixes the weather widget inconsistently updating (or not updating).
