PayPal on eBay Offering $100 iTunes Gift Cards for $85 as iTunes Discounts 4K Movies
Mar 7, 2018 6:58 am PST by Mitchel Broussard
About one month after PayPal's previous 15 percent discount on iTunes cards, the company has launched its latest sale for those who have been waiting on a deal to get some free iTunes credit. Like previous discounts, PayPal on its Digital Gifts eBay storefront is offering $100 App Store and iTunes gift cards for $85. While the sale lasts, anyone with a PayPal account can take advantage of the deal, and you should receive the code for the iTunes credit within a few hours after the purchase.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with these vendors. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

As usual with email delivery sales on iTunes cards, you can either enter your own email address and send the code to yourself, or enter the email of a friend or family member to send it as a gift. The credit will only be valid on purchases made on the United States App and iTunes stores, however.

Coinciding with the new gift card offer, iTunes has some notable discounts on its Movies storefront that might be of interest to users getting iTunes credit today. The sale prices include a collection of Disney films for $14.99 each, as well as some recent 4K releases for as low as $9.99. We've rounded them up below:

Nice! When these discounted gift cards come up, I've been using them to pay for my Apple Music and iCloud storage subscriptions, as well as the occasional app or movie purchase. It's not a huge difference, but why not take advantage of a discount when you can?

You pay for Netflix and Hulu with itunes gift cards?

Yup, you have to sign up for netflix and hulu through your apple tv or iOS device, I actually cancelled my original accounts and re-opened them in order to do this. I miss the days of 20% and sometimes 25% off cards, but this isn't bad either.

EDIT: Bills to my store credit See attached

The 15% off e-delivery iTunes deals are great! If you buy enough and keep your account loaded with these, makes everything through the iTunes store $.85 on the $1.00!

However, let me know about 4k deals when I can DL 4k files. Until then, it's practically moot. At least for my use case, YMMV.

Sorry but buying anything on iTunes just seems like a waste of money to me.

Good thing you don't make the rules and other people can buy whatever they want...

Well yeah. That was my point.

I understand your point. Unfortunately, it is passing us 'usta be this way' guys by. Your posts reminded me of this song.

You'll lose everything if iTunes goes out of business one day or if they decide to revoke your license or if you just switch to another platform that iTunes doesn't support.

Any series of events that would lead to Apple shuttering itunes and making previous purchases unusable would probably also make the digit world uninhabitable.

Yes, it seems unlikely today but it's certainly possible. No one knows what's going to happen in the next decades.

And when the world is digitally uninhabitable twenty years from now, I'll bet you're gonna wish you had that hundred bucks back.

Could this be used to pay for a year of apple music ?

This is what I did a couple of months ago when they were on sale. Added it to my iTunes balance and then changed my monthly Apple Music subscription to the annual one and let it renew at the end of the current month.
