- Rendevouz - totally open, developed by consortium (Apple included), standards technology
- Rendevouz - to be built into iTunes 6-9 months down road. Demoing. Playing song. Say more than one computer in house,
want to share playlist from one to another machine in house. Other computer automatically finds first machine, and the new
machine find playlist and can access it. When new machine turned off, playlist goes away. (Not a copy of files--a stream of
data)

- Inkwell integrates into foundation of OS - no demo today during show tho'
- On to Inkwell - references Newton group
- Sherlock 3 - Will find movies, restaurants, etc. withing a radius of your zip
- Sherlock 3 - "Portal" like web presentation
- Sherlock 3 - completely rewritten Sherlock - making it internet service
- Demos streaming - very responsive when jumping around the video (instant-on-streaming)
- Phil goes through a silly demonstration comparing raw audio to AAC audio, to see if the folks in this massive
convention hall can hear the difference between these two (as if a difference between 92Kbps MP3 vs. raw audio in that hall
could be heard...), goes on to demo difference in MPEG-4 video vs. raw
- MPEG-4 offers AAC, better than dolby audio codec
- MPEG-4: "Everyone is jumping on the MPEG-4 bandwagon...except Microsoft"
- On to QuickTime 6 (released Monday this week -- in 1.5 days, over 1 million QT6 DL's -- first MPEG-4 solution out there)
