Apple Seeds Sixth Beta of iOS 10.2 to Developers and Public Beta Testers

Apple today seeded the sixth beta of an upcoming iOS 10.2 update to developers and public beta testers, a few days after seeding the fifth beta of iOS 10.2 and more than a month after releasing iOS 10.1, the first major update to iOS 10.

Registered developers can download the sixth beta of iOS 10.2 from the Apple Developer Center or over-the-air with the proper configuration profile installed.

10-2-beta
iOS 10.2 introduces new emoji, such as clown face, drooling face, selfie, face palm, fox face, owl, shark, butterfly, avocado, pancakes, croissant, and more.

There are more than a hundred new emoji, including several profession emoji available in both male and female genders, such as firefighter, mechanic, lawyer, doctor, scientist, and more. Apple has also redesigned many existing emoji, adding more detail to make them look much more realistic.

Along with new emoji, iOS 10.2 includes new wallpaper, new Music sorting options and buttons for Repeat and Shuffle, new "Celebrate" and "Send with Love" Screen Effects, an option for preserving camera settings, Single-Sign On support for watching live TV via apps, and the official "TV" app that was first introduced at Apple's October 27 event.

The TV app serves as an Apple-designed TV guide that aims to simplify the television watching experience and allow users to discover new TV shows and movies to watch.

The TV app is available on both iOS devices and the Apple TV (tvOS 10.1), and in iOS 10.2, the "Videos" app has been replaced entirely with the new "TV" app, which will now serve as the iOS TV and movie hub.

Apple has called iOS 10 its "biggest release ever" for iOS users, with a revamped lock screen, a Siri SDK for developers, an overhauled Messages app, a dedicated "Home" app for HomeKit users, new facial and object recognition capabilities in Photos, and redesigned Maps and Apple Music apps.

Where are you guys seeing that each 10.2 beta only included emojis? The beta articles simply state whats new in 10.2 update NOT whats in each different beta. :rolleyes: No wonder Apple never did public betas in the past, some users have no business dealing with beta software.

Then who? With every update it's always more emojis, why not implement new features that are beneficial?
What like single sign on for TV? Stuff like that maybe? yeah I agree, they should. Or even stuff like this list may be nice to. Oh wait ...............

Enhancements/New Features:

* Notifications no longer take on the hue/color of your wallpaper unless they appear while you're on the home screen.
* New wallpapers for from iPhone 7 keynote have been added to iPhone 7/Plus.
* Some home screen wallpapers are no longer dimmed.
* Full Unicode 9 emoji support with 72 new emojis ('http://blog.emojipedia.org/ios-10-2-emoji-first-look-shrug-fingers-crossed-face-palm/').
* New Preserve Camera settings.
* Star Ratings can be enabled in Music settings.
* New ‘Celebration’ Full Screen Effect in Messages.
* New Videos widget.
* Option to turn off Siri and Voice Control completely in accessibility settings.
* New Siri introduction screen.
* New option to sort playlists in Apple Music by Type, Title, and Recently Added.
* Notification Centre opens into the same view you closed it in. (Scroll depth is also retained for both pages.)
* "Show Contact Photos" setting for Messages now controls and applies to the photo at the top of conversations.
* The Images section of the details view in iMessage conversations no longer shows stickers from iMessage Apps amongst normal images from the transcript.
* In Quick Reply, the title appears as the contact or group chat name instead of "Messages".
* Added option for Messages notifications to show a preview of the contents only if unlocked.
* Activity data widget can now be added as a favourite in the Health app.
* All Day events show up on the Calendar widget.
* The Up Next widget now displays scheduled reminders.
* Slight inertia when dragging down Notification Center past the Search Bar when in non-springboard apps.
* Triple Click Home Button accessibility option now supports multiple new options.
* New headphones indicator in Status Bar when connected to wireless (used to just be the Bluetooth icon).

Bug Fixes:

* Invisible button in Music app is finally gone!
* Safari keyboard bug has been fixed (different but intentional behaviour for text boxes and when entering in the Address Bar).
* When entering text in Quick Reply and then tapping the message box before sending, the entered text remains in the message box instead of being cleared.
* A bug that allowed specific wallpapers to make the dock transparent has been fixed.
* The "Downloaded" and "..." button overlap bug in the Music app on 4-inch devices and larger iPhones in zoom mode is fixed.
* Canceling a page swipe from a conversation in Messages, no longer results in the keyboard sliding to the right as the page slides back to the left.
