CastCatcher 1.3 Update Approved by Apple

We'd previously reported that Return7's CastCatcher update had been rejected by Apple due to "excessive" bandwidth usage. CastCatcher is an internet radio application that works similarly to many other applications in the App Store, so Apple's rejection was a bit of a mystery.

Fortunately, Return7 reports that Apple has now approved their update to CastCatcher. Version 1.3 should appear in the App Store shortly. It's not clear what triggered Apple's change of heart.

:D Never thought they were. I wonder if it was just some sort of mistake, honestly. Regardless, we're happy and appreciate what they've done as well as the support from all the great folks here at macrumors.

Adding your own stations is the point of this app. I don't believe AOL does that. This app streams shoutcast/nicecast/icecast/mp3 and hopefully AAC+ soon (waiting on assistance from Apple on that as it seems to be broken in 2.1 but I'm not positive of that).

I'm not too familiar with this app but I use Pandora and don't know why anyone would use anything else.

Right, you have no idea what this application does. So you have a great reason to determine why people would use anything other than pandora.
