International iTunes Music Store - October?

Apple wants to make its iTunes Music Store accessible to its European users in October. Stated by Bart Cools, managing director of EMI Switzerland, according to a report by m4music Newsletter at a Symposium of the Swiss Music Branch of EMI. musikwoche.de has heard from the best informed circles that the US Computer Maker (Apple) would have its shop ready shortly, from a meeting of the top EMI Managers in Barcelona. Apple therefore could have its shop ready for the Christmas season with a strong European wide marketing effort for the new iPods, the iTunes software and store, and naturally also the introduction of iTunes for Windows.

That would be nice.

It'll also be a good test for scaling up to iTMS for Windows.

I sure hope that's for real. Been waiting since the launch in the US.

The title of this topic is misleading. It claims to talk about an "International iTunes Music Store" that is coming soon; however, the article is clearly talking about an European iTunes Music Store. So the article should be retitled to "European iTunes Music Store" coming soon, because it looks like those of us here in Asia will still have to wait for a while!

I m really waiting for it s dispo here in Luxembourg, there are no really good cd resellers. Well, certainly they got some amount of cd s but not really differenciated music.
The Music Store is my opport. to get in somekind exactly what I want. Thought I will probably only dl full albs.
